A Dad's perspective on his little girls wedding!

With over 30 years experience working with Brides and Grooms with their big day - Barb and I have stepped on the other side of the counter. Our oldest daughter Jackie married Alan on July 3rd 2004. In two short weeks our youngest daughter will be wed in St Kitts to Ryan. I must say that even though we take every wedding very seriously, it is definitely different when its your daughters. Jackies wedding was the traditional church wedding. Jami has opted for a destination wedding with an "island themed" reception here in Chambersburg.

As many of you know Barb and I are extremely close to Jackie and Jami. We feel so blessed to not only spend lots of time with them, but also work the Bridal business together. I'm a bit of a sentimental sap - doing as good as was possible on Jackies wedding day. Not quite sure how I'll do on Jamis day (Thank God its on St Kitts - at least not a huge audience for my blubbering) The important thing to Barb and I is the fact that both of our daughters have the weddings that they wanted and that they have a marriage that is strong and filled with love.

Rob and Kristian (Adams) Johnson

Congratulations to Rob and Kristian who were married June 12, 2010! All of our brides are very special to us, but Kristian is like family to us. Not only was Kristian a prom customer of ours for at least 3 years in a row, but her Grandma was J&B's first employee, over 30 years ago! Kristian truly looked like a princess in her tulle Mori Lee ballgown. What an honor it was to outfit the entire wedding party, from the bride and her accessories, to the bridesmaids, to the mother of the bride, to the men in their tuxedos! Kristian, THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts for entrusting us to help you with the most important day of your life! Justin and Rachel (Leigh) Whitehair

I remember my first contact with Rachel like it was yesterday. Her mom, Chris, called J&B to see if we had a specific Maggie Sottero dress in stock...and the rest is history! Rachel came in to try on that specific gown and fell in love with it, it was her dream dress! She looked amazing. However, while she was trying that gown on another one caught her eye too, completely different from her original choice. To make a long story short, Rachel purchased her original dream dress to wear on her wedding day, but she also couldn't pass up the second gown so she chose to purchase that one too and wear it at her reception! What a fun thing to do! Rachel and her mom were so fun to work with, and they travelled all the way from Charles Town, WV to allow J&B the honor of helping them with their special day! Congratulations Scott and Anita!

What fun it was working with this wonderful couple, Scott and Anita (Killcrece) Hershberger who were just married 7/17/10. We were honored to help them with Anita's gown, her bridesmaids' gowns, and the men's tuxedos. It's always fun when we get to see the end result after months and months of planning!
